A continuation of my time in Cambodia this past summer. In the first part, I showed you all the beautiful children and faces. This time I will show you some photos where the families came from, and then shots of the homes we built. See, this particular Habitat build was on a mission to move families out of the City Dump in Phnom Penh, where they were paying (reread that: paying) to live on top of trash. That is where our families came from! Picking through trash, waving off hoards of flies, sweating in the heat and stink. And then their beautiful new homes! Makes me feel fuzzy all over. After this post, scroll down to the last post and look at their pretty faces again. Now you can see why I love Habitat for Humanity.
